School! School!

Here is a sampling of how the children do academic subjects in our homeschool.

Viva is reading a chapter in an American history book.

Jake is doing a couple of pages of grammar.

The trio is watching a DVD series about great men in early American history named Benjamin--Benjamin Franklin, Benjamin Banneker, and Benjamin Rush. (Bentley is in the middle chair. The camera angle makes him look like midget. Jake and Viva are sitting in much taller stools.)

Bentley is reading a book in the Life of Fred math series.

Jake is looking at the list of schoolwork his mom has assigned for the day.

Bentley and his mom are reviewing his grammar workbook. (Can you see the lovely whole number place value chart that I drew on the board for Jake?)

Viva is ready to practice multiplication online.

The trio are making butter by shaking room temperature cream. It was a midnight by the time we got around to doing this science experiment. They were a little giddy.
