Viva & Lincoln

Last week while the two older boys went to three sessions of karate to see if they liked it, Viva stayed home and played with Lincoln. It was quite delightful how well they played together. I told Kara that it is interesting that a two year old male has so much in common with a six year old female. They like the same degree of roughhousing--very tame roughhousing! Jake and Bentley are much too aggressive for Viva and Lincoln.

Another thing they have in common? They are both just starting to be interested in building their own train layouts. Oddly enough I'm pretty sure this if Viva's first train layout. She built it for Lincoln. I was quite surprised. She did some interesting layouts that I certainly had never done or seen done by the boys. (I always encouraged them to put a few piece of track between the bridges.)

The last bridge in this series didn't fit well, so Lincoln tried to fix the problem.

Viva put it back together still not seeing the problem that Lincoln spotted right away. Well maybe she does see it. Is she stacking train cars under the bridge to elevate it? That's clever.
