Jake received a mosaic art kit for Christmas.
Yes, Christmas. Which was 3 months ago. Jake is a bit of a hoarder and takes delight in keeping his presents stashed and unopened - it took us about a month to convince him to break into the first one, and there have been tears involved in convincing him to break into others since then. And I wish I was kidding but I'm not!
Anyway, hundreds of little magnetic foam blocks, and about 20 different pattern pages - it's like paint by the numbers, but with foam blocks! We've had fun working on it, although he normally wants quite a bit of assistance - it's tiring to do such a big picture alone! Luckily for him, in addition to the adults at his disposal he has a brother and sister eager to help him out.
A good way to pass an hour quietly!
