Bubble Bubble Bath

The past few weeks Lincoln and Evan have taken baths in our big Jacuzzi tub while the older children are at karate and gymnastics. At first it went well and Evan and Lincoln both had a great time. Then we hit a rough patch. Lincoln repeatedly poured water over Evan's head, so Evan insisted on getting out of the tub. After I calmed him down he still would not go back in the tub. The week after this happened I told Lincoln that his bath would end immediately if he made Evan upset by pouring water over his head. Lincoln didn’t pour water over Evan's head, but something (I know not what) happened two minutes into the bath that caused Evan to want out. I tried to convince him to calm down and stay in the tub, but Evan is pretty stubborn and he wouldn't change his mind. Next bath I'm going to put Evan in first on his own for a while.

The children always start their bath with only an inch or so of water in the tub. We let the water slowly pour into the tub while they play because they love playing with the stream of water. After the tub gets above the jets on the Jacuzzi then we take out all the toys and add bubble bath and turn on the jets and the bubbles come. Sometimes there is a kid who doesn't like the jets or the bubbles and they will get out of the tub before the bubble fun starts. Since Evan was out of the tub after just two minutes (long before bubble time!), I brought the bubbles to him.

The new bubble bath I bought a few months ago is really excellent--I love...lots of bubbles! The bubbles are longer lasting and stiff enough to play with!
