Final Halloween Post

October was a busy month and while we accomplished many of our goals, we did not find time to post about them. Therefore I am diligently trying to catch up on activities we wanted to share on the blog.

Here is the final Halloween post. Before she left for Paris Kara planned a fun day for the children doing Halloween crafts and activities.

The day started with the children's favorite Halloween CD to which Lincoln and Jake danced on the stools.

Next the children did a photo scavenger hunt. Lincoln was in charge of taking the photos and the older children weren't always impressed with his ability to capture the item on screen.

Every fun event has good food, so the children helped make six layer bars.

The Halloween cookie cutters were brought out and bats, ghosts, cats, brooms, pumpkins, and other appropriately shaped sugar cookies were cut out and decorated with sprinkles.

Foam art was next on the list. It's a Halloween tradition at our home to make a piece of foam artwork.

A new Halloween artwork was tried: rubber cement spider webs. According to the author of this activity, the rubber cement will pull off the paper after the paint is dried. It did not.

Lastly a few games were played.
