Christmas Tree Decorating

We put our Christmas tree up (as is our tradition since moving in together) Thanksgiving weekend. Kara brought the tree up from the crawl space area and took it out of the box. (I want a real tree next year!) The older children helped fluff up the hundreds of flattened (from being boxed) branches.

Once the tree was up, all five children had a grand time adding ornaments.

Viva purchased a couple of ornaments for her siblings which she wrapped. She had them open them when we were decorating the tree.

It took us at least a week to add the angel on top...and should I admit that we never did decorate the top third of the tree that the children can't access even with the step stool? Nope, I'm not going to admit to that.

Life with five children is kind of crazy and we accept that we will not get it all done.
