We are blessed to live in a beautiful state, and to have a lovely view of part of it from our home!
This past week of summer (and the HOT days - don't laugh, we're Alaskan and it has seemed HOT!) has reminded me that I don't really despise winter. Summer is exhausting! Someone told me recently that although Alaska doesn't have much of a summer at least we have really long days during summer - which we work diligently to take advantage of. It's hard work, squeezing all that fun into 3 months! By the time fall (aka winter since we don't really have a fall season) shows up we'll be ready for a *break*. :)
