Road Trip!

For Matt's birthday this year I wanted to surprise him, so I decided to venture out of the realm of what he might expect from me - I rented a motor home for 3 days!  I figured that the kids would find it to be a grand adventure, and that Matt and I would find it to be quite the experience, too!  :)

We headed out of town on Thursday, and packed up and came back late late Saturday night - made it to 11 am church.  Not bad, right?!  :)  In between we saw some of Alaska, made some camp fires, ate some s'mores, dug in the dirt (again and again), read some books, went fishing, played some games, went on walks, skipped some stones in the lake, picked some berries, ate some snacks, played in our motor home, and did some family bonding time.  In the words of Jake?  "Best EVER birthday present, Daddy!!".  Maybe we'll make it an annual tradition, who knows?!

*Warning!  Photo overload ahead.*

Ready, set, go!

Bed time buddies.

Big bed time buddies.  Best part of a motor home is the top, right?!

Purple girl.

Hugs, we're having TOO MUCH FUN!

Cute cute baby.

The view from our camp site.

Jake skipping rocks.

Lincoln, as always, does not know how to be anything but photogenic!

Daddy-O.

Viva's table decorations.

Gosh, that baby is cute when he naps!

A ball game and some dirt digging.  Bentley, Jake, and Viva did a great job including Lincoln- they are great older siblings to have!

Viva, winning Blink.

The baby and the Daddy.  Book time!

Everything is a toy, right Mom?!

Off on another walk:  Little boys have endless energy.  It's a fact.

Yum!  S'mores.

Skipping more rocks.  And handfuls of mud because it's fun.

High bush cranberries.

Another game!

Evan ready for the ride home.  Look at those little cheeks and hands!

Viva upon arrival back at the ranch.  Ouch!  Neck ache!
