Bentley and Matt went to the state fair today with Tyler, I stayed home with the twins. The reports are that it was a fun time, although Bentley couldn't be convinced to try a funnel cake - the kid missed out! I think half the fun of the fair is the food, but apparently Bentley didn't want to venture outside the comfort zone of french fries. Oh well, maybe next year?!
Bentley enjoyed checking out the amusement rides, although he isn't quite big enough to ride them yet. He also enjoyed the Irish Cloggers and part of the Lumberjack show. The favorite activity though, of course, was the big barn full of animals! The huge bull (2400 lbs) was not a hit, but he enjoyed the pigs, goats, turkeys, ... Matt says they practicied their animal noises - he's always claiming Bentley knows many animal sounds. I haven't yet heard these noises so I can't verify, but I'll take his word for it. :-) Hopefully next year all five of us can make it out for a day of adventure together!
