We used a fun type of currency this week - jelly bean money! A number of months ago Grandma went to the grand re-opening of a fancy children's boutique here in town and she participated in one of their games: guessing the number of jelly beans in the jar.
As a result of her guess she won a gift certificate to the store - not the 1st place winning amount, but a very respectable $50 nonetheless! :-) I've been eyeing cute little Pediped baby shoes, but it was hard to justify $60 for 2 pairs of shoes they'll outgrow in no time at all. Thanks to jelly beans (with a little help from Visa) the twinlets now have adorable matching shoes. Although, for the first time, we had to buy different sizes for them. Jackson's feet are now enough larger that he wears a size up from his sister.
Genevieve thinks her new shoes taste good:
And now the real reason for this post--the picture of Jackson and Genevieve modeling their new shoes. Isn't it just too adorable?! Don't you think they could be baby leg models with their cute, little, chubby thighs? Aren't the shoes cute, too? :-)

It's time for us to go shoe shopping as well! I know though, $60 (or more!) for shoes that they'll wear for a short amount of time is a little hard to digest.
Now that the boys are into walking everywhere, we need something with a little firmer sole (i.e. firmer than Robeez). Any suggestions? I've seen the Pedipeds, which are adorable, but I'm wondering how they will hold up with all of this gravel.
