Lincoln & Slippers

It started last year when he was quite young. He loved his brothers' slippers. He would drag them all over their bedroom. Usually we were able to keep Lincoln and the slippers in the same room which made finding them later easier. He outgrew his obsession, but then a month or so ago he started in again. Now it's my slippers. He plays with them at least once a day, often three or more times. He carries them around the main floor. He puts them on his head. He puts them on his feet and slowly (very slowly) shuffles his way around.

Lincoln is so clever! He figured out that if he puts the slippers under the couch, they cannot move so he can get them on.

Yesterday he grabbed opa's slippers out of our bedroom. I must have taken them away six times. He kept going back for them. He even cried once or twice when I tried to reclaim them. It's not easy being a seventeen old. (It's not easy being a grandma trying to keep track of the seventeen month old. I've written a long post about that, but haven't posted it yet.)
