Back to the Playground AGAIN

If Evan had his way, we'd go to the playground two or even three times a day. He not only likes the slides and swings at the playground, he likes to people watch. And throw the shredded rubber at the playground. He's a great little climber. Considering that playgrounds are built for five year olds and up, it's very surprising how well he can use the equipment. When he is wearing his Crocs (which is most of the time), he can climb up many of the slides.

Lincoln with his increased age and height can pretty much do anything on the playground except the monkey bars (he can't reach them!) and similar high equipment. Lincoln loves to swing as high as he can convince me to push him. He and Viva play games together while at the playground. If another girl invites Viva to play, then Viva insists that Lincoln be included in the game. She's a magnificent sister. She truly is.

Matt usually takes the children to playground in the evenings, but this past week and the previous two weekends every spare minute he had has been spent at his mom's house which is being remodeled to make it even nicer. New kitchen cupboards were put in, three (?) half walls were torn down to open up the downstairs, French doors were installed out to a new deck in the back, and new, larger windows were put in. I'm sure there was more done, but that's what I've heard about. Matt's uncle came up from Idaho to do the majority of the work, but as usually happens with house remodels, the project snowballed and more workers were needed! While Matt was off working hard, I was in charge of playground visits. Usually I went on my own, but one time Kara came with us and another time it was opa. One time opa did playground duty on his own. It's not a hard job--hanging out with happy children!
