In the past couple of days I've done separate posts on Viva and on Bentley. Now it's Jake's turn. I won't post twenty-four photos as did I for Viva, although Jake is such a cutie that I could easily find that many to wow you with. Seriously. Jake has a world class smile and he uses it to good effect.
So what has Jake been doing this past month? He's become a proficient climber. He's excellent on the stairs and he loves to climb on chairs. He can even pull himself up onto our full-size rocking chair. This boy is strong.
He likes to play with cars and balls, just like his brother. (Viva doesn't much care for cars or balls unless she needs something to chew on. Although she does like the ride on cars. All three kids do.)
Jake continues to love swinging and he's starting to explore the slide a little more. He still doesn't like siding down, but he likes to climb up it.
He doesn't like water play as much as Viva, but he enjoys a brief water adventure.
He loves open closets. The hallway closet where the mini vacuum is stored used to be his favorite, but now it's the pantry because he's discovered that is where the chocolate chips are stashed. He grabs a few whenever the pantry door is open.
We don't have a video of it (although we've tried a couple of times to take one because it's so funny watching him do this), but when Jake plays with Viva's twin baby dolls, he's brutal with them. He chews on their faces, he smashes them into each other. He makes awful noises while doing all this. Jake's treatment of the baby dolls makes Bentley's treatment of him and Viva seem loving and gentle in comparison. I don't think Jake is ready for younger siblings any time soon. Not a good idea.
Here's a final three photos of Jake.
Isn't he adorable?
