No No Yes Yes, Viva!

Viva (and Jake, for that matter) is an almost 2 year old. I know she understands quite a bit of what we say, but sometimes she just can't make herself listen. The will to obey is just not stronger than the will to defy. Or the will to explore. Or the lack of impulse control. Whatever it is, she's got it.

The children (as seen here) are big fans of the Yes Yes No No book. Sometimes I hear Grandma trying to use the language of the book to get through to Viva that some of her activities are less than desirable. As in... Do we throw our cereal on the floor? No, no no. Are we a nice little girl? Yes yes yes. Do we bite our brother? NO NO! Do we give hugs and kisses? Yes yes! Viva gets into it. Does she GET it though? She's a 2. Who knows.

In a SLIGHT stretch, I'm using the above topic as a chance to show case some of Viva's No No and Yes Yes outdoor driveway "tricks"!

Here's a definite No No No, Viva!

It doesn't matter that the car is parked at the top of our long driveway and no one is going anywhere - this is definitely not a good habit! Even when we race to get there first and get the ball for them, Viva just can't control her desire to get the ball herself.

It's not all about the no nos though - not even mostly about them! Viva also has some good yes yes activities outside.

Yes, yes! Go mow the yard!!

Yes, yes! Go help Bentley!

Yes, yes! Go play on the slide!
