1st paycheck for Jackson

Jackson went along to Bentley's Dr. appointment this morning. We wanted to have the Dr. check on his ears - he kept waking us up last night, screaming with horrendous intensity, so we thought there might be something wrong with him.

His ears received a clean bill of health and the Dr. informed us that our dear child is simply toying with us - he's used to the extra attention becaue he's been sick lately, and he's not willing to relinquish it. WELL! We're on to him now...

On the way out of the office we were stopped by someone from the CDC (Center for Disease Control). They're doing a study on some type of strep virus and how well a new vaccine for it is controlling virus mutations, so they wanted a quick nose swab from one of the kids.

I think it's important that these vaccines are available - so we were willing to help out. Jackson gave them 5 seconds of his time and they gave him a check for $25! I think that would work out to an hourly rate of $18,000? It's a shame it was such a short gig for him.

I asked him if he wants to buy diapers or formula with his money but he just looked at me blankly - I guess that means he's leaving it up to me!
