Jake's Track Designs!

I came home one Wednesday evening to find my bedroom floor covered in train tracks. Jake had decided he wanted to build a track and he did a great job. Then Bentley came up and added to it. Their track layout is quite different from the ones they've done in the past. First of all, Bentley has done the majority of the track layout in the past. Now Jake is doing half or more of the layouts. Secondly, instead of laying out long stretches of straight track (from one end of the room to the other end), the boys are doing more compact designs that go under and around. Here's Wednesday design which I asked them to take down on Friday:

Then on Saturday Jake asked to lay out another set of tracks. Here's the first part of the design which he did all by himself:

He used up all the curved pieces and needed more to finish his design, so Bentley came in (with Jake's permission) and did a little redesigning. Lincoln stopped in for a while, too. Viva said she was going to help Jake finish his design, but instead she read Fancy Nancy books in the recliner. (You can see her if you look closely at the photo).

Kara stopped by with Evan, so we let him check the track out. He didn't seem that impressed. It must be his limited vision because this WAS an impressive track.
