Things were hectic here today. In just 18 hours our plane leaves Alaska headed for Florida. We've been doing laundry and buying jelly beans (my stress food) and calling credit card companies and collecting important paperwork and doing all those not-so-fun chores that precede a vacation.
We've already had proof that Disney World is a magical place. When we checked the ten day forecast for Orlando and the ten day forecast for Disney World we discovered that the temperatures run 2-4 degrees hotter in Disney World. I was puzzling through that odd fact and thinking maybe Disney World execs paid the folks at weather.com to add a few degrees to their forecast when Kara clued me in. She reminded me that it is the Magic Kingdom. Good point. We are going to the Magic Kingdom to create Magical Memories and part of that, no doubt, is better than average weather.
I plan to blog from Florida since I prefer to post while the memories are fresh, so check back in this week to see how the trio are doing on their visit with their great-grandparents and their day at Legoland. Next week we visit Disney World.
***** ***** *****
Did you know that grandparents who take young grandchildren to Disney World are considered brave?! At least half the people that we talked to about our trip to Disney World with our three grandchildren, stated "Wow. You are brave." That was the word most used. Is brave a code word for crazy?
