A couple of weeks ago the Shanghai Circus came to town, We made a family outting of it, (well, minus baby... we didn't think he would enjoy the circus) and headed downtown to check it out.
It wasn't a traditional circus of the clowns and elephants variety, but it was more the acrobat and tight rope type. The kids found it quite enthralling, and Matt and I were also impressed with their balance and flexibility! They had a bike rider on a tight rope; they had acrobats stacked three high. They had a dancer standing on point on another dancer's head! They had a huge yo-yo they threw in the air and caught in unison, they had a man on stilts who caught bowls with his feet and tossed them up to stack on his head. They had men juggling big ceramic vases! I promise it was more fun to watch than it is to read about, but I figured it would be frowned upon to photograph during the show... :)

Final verdict? Great show, and a fun outing!
