3pm at hospital.
4pm waiting
5pm waiting
6pm emergency c section bumps Kara
7pm waiting. Dad gets dinner of champions - tuna salad sandwich and chocolate pudding courtesy of hospital
8pm movement to the back room
8:20 baby!
8:25 cut cord!
7lb 15 oz. Evan Pierce Altman
9pm baby shots, bath time, warm up, singing Toby Keith and Willy Nelson country songs in the nursery
10pm rocking time
11pm finally with mom
12am grandma trades places with dad
1am dad returns
2am. Unit Lockdown! Evan single-footedly locks down the mother baby unit when he kicks off his Hugs baby-security monitoring tag under the blankets. Unbeknownst to his parents who are holding him, Evan has been reported as stolen!
2:30am to the relief of everyone, the nurses determine there really was no emergency.
3am sleepy baby - everyone tries to get some rest.
