Genevieve and I had an hour to kill in midtown last Saturday, so we headed to the library - it's never hard to find a way to pass the time if you have a good book!
While there we were approached by a librarian who wanted to know if Viva wanted to read to a dog. Genevieve, of course, asked the librarian if the dog understands what we're reading.... :)
Apparently the library has a program to help "domesticate" seeing eye dogs, and condition them to small children. I tried to explain it to Viva, who then thought it sounded entertaining enough. I myself thought she did a great rendition of the Bernstein Bears and the Baby - I'm not sure if Titan (the lovely mut!) agreed or not - do you think he looks excited in this picture?!
