Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Last year we had record breaking snow falls. This year we have very little snow and very cold temperatures for this time of year. We have had only 6.7" of snow so far this season and normally we would have had 23.7" The ground is barely covered. Because it's been so cold, the snow has frost on it. It is very beautiful with all kinds of crystal patterns to be seen. It's gorgeous, but oh so cold.

Yesterday when opa came home for lunch he was telling us how gorgeous it was, so I had all the kids put on their coats and boots and go and take a look. They decided it was pretty fun outside and so they came back in and added snow pants and warm mittens and went back out for quite a while. I was surprised how long they stayed because it was 1 degree outside. BRRRRR! Lincoln went out to see the snow crystals, but he wasn't allowed back out.
