Christmas Photo: Take 2

Friday evening we once again tried to get a Christmas photo. For this photo shoot we abandoned the reindeer antlers and Santa hats and went for a more formal family portrait. We tried to get the photo started earlier in the evening, but we were not successful. Once again we were too close to Lincoln's bedtime for him to cooperate. He REFUSED to sit on the ottoman. Here are some of the better photos from Friday.

My photographer always likes to warm up with easy subjects.
The twins are a delight to work with.

We add Bentley to the mix.
He's great to work with, too.

Next we throw in the little ones.
And then we crop Lincoln and Bentley out.

We let Bentley have a photo with Evan.
Bentley likes that and Evan does, too.

After many attempts to get Lincoln in the photo, we take a break and let the kids do funny shots. Lincoln works with us for once.

More funny photos. We've told them sticking your tongue out is not funny.
They have to improvise and do something else.

This is not supposed to be a funny photo. We've tried everything at this point to get Lincoln to sit still long enough to take a group photo. Food. Toys. Brute force.

It's getting late. Lincoln has his blankie, but no smiles. Evan has had enough. So have the older three, but they continue to work nicely with us.

Now we're totally desperate. I hide behind the ottoman and lift Lincoln into the photo.
It does not work. At all.

Lincoln: 2
Photo Team: 0

The good news is that today we tried again, but earlier in the day and we succeeded! Against all odds we got a great photo of all the children looking attractive. That shot will be unveiled on Christmas Day.
