Lincoln is on track to rival his siblings in the troubled eating department. He's been getting worse and worse about eating - grrr! I took him in about 6 weeks ago and they diagnosed it as "worried well" - meaning the parent is crazy but the kid looks okay. It's because he put on a good baby act for the Dr.'s office! He doesn't eat very much, but he puts on the lbs okay so I SUPPOSE it's okay. Although only being able to feed an infant when he's asleep because he smacks the bottle out otherwise? A little crazy, right?! He screams and arches and acts crazed. Grandma thought maybe some solids would make him happy. He was a good sport about it:
I think feeding a baby this age isn't very productive. Put the bite in 4 times to get half of it swallowed? I think they are burning more calories than they're consuming - particularly if you're feeding them one of those puny caloric foods like vegetables. Which you should be, right?! :)
Hopefully Lincoln will work on a few teeth, and some swallowing skills, and then discover that he loves solids a lot more than he loves his formula. Although the expression below makes me think my odds are 50/50... :)
